Terms and Conditions

01. Overview

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed with The Kit Lab for custom-made casual clothing supplied to sports clubs, organisations, and individuals.By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

02. Online Store Orders

Where The Kit Lab provides an online store for a club, team or organisation, orders placed by individual customers through that store constitute separate purchase contracts between the customer and The Kit Lab.Any individual establishing a store, placing an order, approving artwork or acting on behalf of a club, team, organisation, company or other group warrants that they have the authority to do so and to bind that organisation to these Terms and Conditions.

The Kit Lab is responsible only for the production and fulfilment of items ordered through the store. The club or organisation is responsible for approving designs, branding and artwork displayed within the store.An order is only confirmed once:

  • Design details have been approved.
  • Final quantities and sizes are confirmed.
  • Payment or deposit has been received where required.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all order details (including sizes, spelling, logos, and colours) are correct before approval.

03. Customisation and Design Approval

All garments are produced specifically to order.
Before production begins, customers will receive a design proof for approval. Once approval has been given:No further design changes can be made.  The order moves into production.  The Kit Lab is not responsible for errors that were approved in the final proof.

04. Pricing

All prices will be confirmed in writing before the order is processed.Prices may depend on:

  • Order quantity.
  • Garment type.
  • Printing or embroidery requirements.
  • Delivery costs.
  • Prices may be subject to VAT where applicable.
05. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of order.

06. Production and Delivery

Typical production time is approximately 10-14 days.The Kit Lab is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Courier services.
  • Supply chain disruptions.
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. The Kit Lab is not liable for delays, additional costs or losses arising from incorrect delivery details supplied by the customer.
Due to manufacturing processes, garment colours, positioning of prints, embroidery, sizing tolerances and product specifications may vary slightly from samples, digital proofs or previous orders.
The Kit Lab does not guarantee uninterrupted access to its website or hosted online stores and may suspend access for maintenance, updates, security reasons or circumstances beyond its control.
If a parcel is lost in transit, customers must notify The Kit Lab within 14 days of the expected delivery date. Claims will be investigated with the courier before any replacement or refund is issued.

07. Returns and Cancellations

All products are made to order specifically for a club or organisation. As such, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded for incorrect sizing or change of mind once production has started.Please check size guides carefully before ordering.
As all garments are custom-made, they are non-refundable and non-returnable, except where:

  • Items are faulty.
  • Items are incorrectly produced compared with the approved design.

This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which exclude personalised goods from standard cancellation rights.Any issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

08. Payment Processing

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. The Kit Lab is not responsible for failures, interruptions or errors caused by third-party payment platforms.Unjustified chargebacks may result in recovery action and associated administrative costs.

09. Sizing

Sizing charts will be provided where available.It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure correct sizes are ordered. We cannot accept returns or exchanges due to incorrect size selection for customised items.

10. Faulty or Incorrect Items

Customers must inspect their order upon delivery and notify us of any faults, damage, or printing errors within 7 days of receipt, including photographic evidence.
Colours displayed on screens may vary slightly from the final printed product due to differences in screens, inks, and production processes.
Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer one of the following:

  • Replacement item.
  • Refund where appropriate
11. Intellectual Property

Customers must ensure they have permission to use any logos, branding, or artwork supplied to us.
The Kit Lab accepts no responsibility for copyright or trademark infringement related to artwork provided by the customer.
By supplying artwork, logos, photographs or branding materials, the customer grants The Kit Lab a non-exclusive licence to use such materials solely for the purpose of producing and fulfilling the order.
Where designs are approved by an authorised representative of a club, team or organisation, that approval shall be deemed binding on all individuals ordering products through that organisation’s store.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, The Kit Lab may photograph completed products and use such images for portfolio, marketing, promotional and social media purposes. Customer personal information will not be disclosed without consent.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim relating to an order shall not exceed the value of the goods supplied.We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.
The Kit Lab shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, severe weather, strikes, labour disputes, pandemics, supplier failures, transport disruptions, cyber incidents, utility failures, or government action.
While The Kit Lab takes reasonable care to ensure information displayed on its website and online stores is accurate, errors relating to pricing, descriptions, availability or imagery may occasionally occur. The Kit Lab reserves the right to correct such errors and cancel or amend affected orders where necessary.

13. Data Protection

Personal information provided during the ordering process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.A copy of our Privacy Policy is available on our website and forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Where The Kit Lab operates an online store on behalf of a club or organisation, customer information will only be used for order fulfilment, customer support and legal compliance purposes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under the laws of Scotland or Northern Ireland where the customer resides.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
The Kit Lab reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version applicable to an order shall be the version in force at the date the order was placed.
